A stubborn wildland fire along the American River Parkway North of the American River along Highway 160 grew to two alarms before Firefighters were able to bring it under control. Sacramento Firefighters responded to the reported fire after 7:00 P.M. tonight and were on scene in about 8 minutes.
Firefighters had a hard time getting to the fire, which was in deep, thick brush, and threatening to spread to some trees in the area. Once crews were able to access the fire, they quickly brought it under control.
The cause of the fire is not known and there were no reported injuries. Firefighters from Sacramento Metro Fire also responded.
