Two Alarm Grass Fire In South Natomas

A stubborn two alarm wildland fire burned along a canal in the South Natomas area of Sacramento. Sacramento Firefighters responded to numerous calls reporting the fire at 3:16 P.M. Firefighters arrived in about 5 minutes and found three separate fires burning on both sides of a canal.

A second alarm was eventually requested to bring in more help to stop this fire. Fortunately there were no injuries and no property damage. The cause of this fire is not known. Firefighters from the West Sacramento and Sacramento Metro Fire Departments also responded.
