Two Alarm Fire In Gold River

Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded to 11505 Setters Mill Circle, in Gold River where they encountered heavy fire in the garage and attic. A second alarm was requested due to the massive fire and the potential to spread to adjacent units.

It took 35 Fire Fighters 20 minutes to bring the blaze under control. One family was displaced. Fire fighters rescued the family cat and it is doing fine.

The house had a wood shake roof that added fuel to the fire. The neighboring houses had composition roofs and were spared any damage.

The cause is under investigation but we are not ruling out an electrical cause. The estimated dollar loss is $700, 00.00.
