Two Alarm Fire Forces The Evacuation Of 150 Patients

A two alarm fire forced the evacuation of about 150 patients of the Norwood Pines Care Center in North Sacramento. The fire was reported at 2:00 P.M. and Sacramento Fire Truck 17 arrived at 2:07 P.M. Crews found light smoke conditions inside. They went into the attic where they eventually found the seat of the fire.

The fire was contained in the attic and appears to have been electrical in nature. There were no reported injuries and all residents will be back inside the facility later this afternoon.
