On June 23, 2009, acting on a tip from the public, the Sacramento Violent Crimes Task Force (SVCTF) located and arrested 42-year-old Anthony Tyler for several recent Sacramento-area robberies. Tyler was arrested at a home in the 6300 block of Ring Drive. Evidence linking Tyler to multiple robberies was collected from the home at the time of his arrest.
The SVCTF is comprised of robbery detectives from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department and Special Agents from the FBI. SVCTF investigators believe Tyler is responsible for the June 16, and June 21, 2009, robberies of the Chevron station at 7314 Elsie Avenue; as well as the June 17, and June 20, 2009, robberies of the Fastrip store at 8061 Florin Road.
