Suspects Arrested In Homicide

On April 9, 2009, at approximately 5:52 a.m., Sheriff’s deputies responded to Carmichael Park, where park employees discovered a body. The victim, Richard John Seeger (10-31-51), was lying in the parking lot deceased. Seeger was a transient who was working at a local eatery, and living in his SUV in the parking lot of Carmichael Park. According to detectives, he had suffered multiple sharp force injuries to his upper body, which caused his death.

Today, April 10, 2009, detectives assigned to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Unit arrested two subjects for Seeger’s Murder. They are identified as James Ray Alden (08/24/73), and Bobby Brady (03/29/85).

Seeger’s SUV was recovered in the neighborhood where Alden and Brady were staying. A combination of physical evidence and witness statements tied both suspects to the crime. Robbery appears to be the motive.
