Roseville Robbery Suspect Arrested In Folsom

Yesterday afternoon, April 23, Roseville Police detectives went to the 100 block of Marble Canyon Drive in Folsom to arrest a man suspected of commiting a robbery on March 20 in Roseville. Because the suspect was possibly armed, the Folsom Police Department SWAT team responded and surrounded the house. The suspect intially refused to come out of the residence, but eventually surrendered to police without further incident at approximately 7:10 p.m., after an almost-four hour standoff.

Scott Christopher Hamilton, 22, of Folsom is being held in the Placer County Jail on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy. His bail is set at $250,000.

Hamilton is suspected of robbing an 81-year-old Roseville woman on the evening of March 20. The woman had just arrived home and was walking from her garage to her door when a male grabbed her purse from her arms and ran away. The victim was frightened, but did not report otherwise being injured.
