Roseville Wells Fargo Bank Robbed By "Flannel Guy"

At 2:39 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, the Wells Fargo Bank at 2000 Douglas Blvd. was robbed by a serial bank robber nicknamed "Flannel Guy".

The robber entered the bank, handed a bank employee a note demanding cash, took the cash and left without further incident. No weapons were used. The robber was described as a white male in his 40s, approximately 5'7" tall, with short graying brown hair, a mustache and goatee. In today's robbery he wore a black Adidas ball cap, a black and white synthetic-material t-shirt with an triangular emblem on the front, and blue jeans.

The same suspect is believed to have committed three other bank robberies in the Sacramento region over the past eight days, including:
Union Bank of California in Roseville on 2/17/09
Downey Savings in Elk Grove on 2/20/09
Washington Mutual on Fair Oaks Blvd. near Watt Ave. in Sacramento on 2/23/09

Police nicknamed him "Flannel Guy" because of the plaid flannel jacket he wore during the first two robberies.

Anyone with information about these robberies is asked to call the Roseville Police Department Investigations Unit at (916)774-5070, Roseville Crime Stoppers at (916)783-7867, the FBI's Sacramento office at (916) 481-9110, or the Sacramento Violent Crime Task Force at (916) 874-5115.
