Roseville Police Trying To Identify And Locate Fraud Suspects

The Roseville Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying two women suspected of using stolen debit or credit cards at local businesses.

Both suspects were described as heavyset Hispanic females. One, who appeared to be in her 40s, was about 5'5" tall, had dyed reddish hair pulled back on a ponytail, and wore large square sunglasses. The other, who appeared to be in her teens or 20s, had dark hair and wore prescription glasses. The two may be related.

Sometime between 9 a.m. and noon on January 23, two wallets were stolen in two separate incidents in Roseville. One wallet was stolen from an unlocked employee break room in a retail store; the other was stolen from a grocery store checkout counter after the victim inadvertently left it behind. Soon after the thefts, the suspects attempted to use the victims' credit or debit cards to purchase merchandise at nearby businesses.

Anyone who recognizes the women in the attached surveillance photos is asked to call the Roseville Police Investigations Unit at (916)774-5070, or Roseville Crime Stoppers at (916)783-7867. Tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward.
