The University campus is invited to a two-hour presentation regarding the history and psychology of active shooters, police/university reaction, the Emergency Notification System (ENS), and response options.
The two sessions scheduled for this semester are 8-11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 25 and Tuesday, April 14, in the University Union Foothill Suite.
The course will give attendees information on recognizing an Active Shooter situation and how it differs from other shooting situations. Attendees will learn how to notify authorities and also how the Emergency Notification System and other University communication systems may alert them.
An opportunity to sign up for the Emergency Notification System will be available at the presentation. Also, attendees will be shown practical options which they can use to plan and respond to an active shooter incident.
