Lincoln Firefighters Plan Annual “Fill The Boot For Burns” Event

The Lincoln professional Firefighters Association Local 4356 and Placer County Fire/Cal Fire will be holding their annual “Fill the Boot for Burns” on Saturday and Sunday February 14th & 15th, 2009.

The Lincoln Firefighters will be located at the intersections of Joiner Parkway and Ferrari Ranch Rd., and at the intersection of Joiner Parkway and Sterling Parkway from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day.

Placer County Fire/Cal Fire will be located at the Thunder Valley Casino from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. each day, and they will be located at the Bel Air Shopping Center on Lincoln Way in Auburn from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day.

One hundred percent of all donations collected at these events goes towards the Firefighters Burn Institute, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to the care, recovery and research of burn survivors in the greater Sacramento area.

The Firefighters Burn Institute is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded by the Sacramento Area Firefighters Local 522 in 1973, for the purpose of establishing a local burn treatment facility; providing recovery programs for burn survivors; providing fire and burn prevention through public education; funding education for burn team professionals, firefighters, and burn survivors; and supporting burn treatment and rehabilitation research.
