Detectives Seek Public’s Help In Identifying ATM Burglary Suspect

Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department detectives need the public’s help in identifying the suspect involved in the burglary of an ATM machine that occurred shortly after 2:00 a.m. on December 30, 2008, at the Safe Credit Union located at 7883 Walerga Road.

The suspect used a metal bar in an attempt to pry open the ATM machine. Although he was unsuccessful in gaining access to the cash inside of it, he caused significant damage to the machine.

The suspect is described as a white male between 16 and 22-years-old. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and a black baseball hat. The ATM machine’s security camera captured images (see below) of the suspect during the burglary.

Anyone with information regarding this suspect is urged to call Sheriff’s detectives at (916) 874-1050, or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.00.
