Crime Alert Crab Feed

The Crime Alert Reward Program is seeking the community’s help to raise funds through a Crab Feed this Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 5640 Dudley Boulevard. The Crab Feed starts at 6:30 p.m. (cocktails) and 7:30 p.m. (dinner) and only costs $45 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the door or by calling (916)296-7509.

The Crime Alert Program provides law enforcement with information on wanted suspects and pays tipsters a reward of up to $1,000. This program has been critical in generating leads to apprehend criminals in the Sacramento region. In 2008, the Crime Alert Program paid over $12,000 in rewards which resulted in the arrest of 45 people.

Each year, the Crime Alert Crab Feed generates almost 80% of the funding for the reward program. Most of the money raised goes directly to paying people who provide tips that lead to an arrest of suspects.
