Auburn Bank Robbery

Suspect: Unknown, white male adult, 5’8” to 5’10” tall, 170 pounds, short dark hair,
clean shaven.

The suspect was wearing a yellow baseball cap with the word “LOCO” in red letters
embroidered on the front, dark colored large square framed sunglasses, denim jacket
with brown leather sleeves (similar to a Letterman’s jacket), a blue or black and white
Hawaiian style shirt under the jacket.

On 01-05-09 at approx. 1204 hours an unknown white male adult entered the
Downtown Auburn branch of Wells Fargo Bank and demanded money from a teller. The
suspect demanded the teller place the money in a small dark colored overnight or
backpack style bag that he brought with him. The suspect left the bank on foot with an
undisclosed amount of money onto Lewis Street. According to witnesses, the suspect
may have gotten into a dark green (possibly forest green) four door vehicle similar to a
late 90’s (1996 or newer) Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable before fleeing the area onto
Orange St.

The suspect in this investigation appears to be involved in the WaMu Bank robbery in
Sacramento on 12-30-08. This is being investigated by our agency and the FBI.

Additional information on the suspect is that he could have an injury to his right palm
that required stitches. One witness described the injury as a “gash” with stitches.

Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to contact the Auburn PD
Investigations Division at 530-823-4237 x263.
