Arrest Made In Cat-Burglary Series

The Sacramento Police Department has arrested 38-year-old Kenneth Johnson in connection with a burglary series that occurred late last year. The burglary series began in July 2008 and ended in December 2008. In all, thirteen homes in the McKinley Park area of the City were targeted.

Johnson has been linked to three of the thirteen burglaries through forensic evidence. The other ten incidents are still under investigation. Investigators believe Johnson entered the residences via an unlocked door or window while the residents slept inside. Once inside, Johnson would steal whatever was in plain view. All of the burglaries occurred overnight between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. The date and locations of the burglaries are listed below:

July 25, 2008 - 1500 Block of 40th Street
July 29, 2008 - 1200 Block of 42nd Street
August 14, 2008 - 300 Block of Santa Ynez Way
August 29, 2008 - 600 Block of 36th Street
September 11, 2008 - 1300 Block of 42nd Street
September 21, 2008 - 400 Block of 36th Way
September 29, 2008 - 3900 Block of McKinley Blvd
October 16, 2008 - 400 Block of 35th Street
October 26, 2008 - 800 Block of 46th Street
November 9, 2008 - 1200 Block of 48th Street
November 9, 2008 - 900 Block of 43rd Street
November 15, 2008 - 1100 Block of 37th Street
December 30, 2008 - 3800 Block of McKinley Blvd
