Foot Pursuit - Narcotics Arrest
On December 27, 2008 at approximately 1625 hrs. Officer Mueller conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the old town area of Rocklin for a traffic infraction. During the contact with the driver Rayburn Officer Mueller was conducting a probation search when the driver Rayburn ran away from Officer Mueller. Officer Mueller and her cover officer pursued Rayburn on foot throughout the homes and backyards in the area. Several other officers responded to the scene to assist in the apprehension. Corporal Westgate arrived in the area and located a subject in the backyard of a home on Pacific St. and Cedar St. The subject was later identified by Officer Mueller as suspect Rayburn. Rayburn was found to be in possession of several Oxycontin pills and Hydrocodone (Vicodin). Rayburn was taken into custody without further incident and booked into the Placer County jail on various drug charges, violation of probation and resisting arrest.
