At approximately 3:30 a.m. Saturday, December 20, Roseville Police and Fire Department personnel were called to a single-vehicle traffic collision on Foothills Boulevard north of Cirby Way. A 1993 Lincoln Mark VIII 2-door coupe, occupied by four young men, was southbound on Foothills Boulevard when it left the roadway and collided with a tree.
One of the passengers, Brandon Mitchell Keith, 20, of Roseville was transported by ambulance to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Another passenger was transported to SRMC for treatment of minor injuries. The driver and the third passenger did not require ambulance transportation.
The driver, Brandon Mark Moreno, 19, of Roseville, is being booked into the Placer County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence causing death, and vehicular manslaughter. His bail is set at $50,000.
Foothills Boulevard is now open in both directions. The southbound lanes of Foothills Boulevard had been closed near the crash site for approximately eight hours while the Roseville Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Team examined the scene.
