9th Reconnaissance Wing leaders announced that the base’s next air show is scheduled for April 18-19.
The two-day event will be Beale’s first air show since 2006.
“We are thrilled to have this opportunity to showcase Beale and the Air Force to the extended community and our neighbors,” said Brig. Gen. Robert Otto, 9th RW commander.
Air show visitors will have the opportunity to not only experience first-hand the unique missions of the 9th RW, which includes the U-2 and RQ-4 Global Hawk aircraft, but will get the chance to view a wide variety of military and civilian aircraft demonstrations from across the country.
Base officials decided to host an air show this year as a show of thanks to the community partners who interact and support Beale Airmen on a daily basis.
“Without the support of the community, we would not be able to accomplish our critical mission of providing intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance information to battlefield commanders and national command authorities. Their support is truly instrumental for us to accomplish our mission.”
