On Thursday, November 27, 2008, at 2:23 a.m., the Sacramento Police Department responded to the 4000 block of 35th Street regarding a subject who had been shot. Officers arrived and located a man suffering from gun shot wounds. The victim was transported to U.C. Davis Medical Center where he later died from his injuries. The victim, a 32-year-old male adult, has been identified as Augusta James.
The Sacramento Police Department’s Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to the scene. At this time, it appears James got into a verbal argument with two subjects. The argument escalated when one of the suspects’s shot James multiple times. The suspect’s are described as male black adults in their late 20’s.
