West Elkhorn Boulevard Homicide Suspect Arrested

On May 5, 2008, at 2:32 p.m. Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies responded to the report of an injured man in a vehicle. Deputies arrived at the Park and Ride lot, which is located on West Elkhorn Boulevard just west of Highway 99, and discovered 28-year-old Joshua Kalb inside his car. He had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.

During the course of their exhaustive investigation, and with the help of the public, Sheriff's Homicide detectives were able to identify 31-year-old Sacramento resident Poe Blue Siavii as the person they believe is responsible for Kalb's murder. On September 12, 2008, Homicide detectives and detectives assigned to the Sheriff's Major Crimes Bureau arrested Siavii in Sacramento. While detectives know Kalb and Siavii were acquainted with one another the motive for the murder is still being investigated.

Siavii was booked (see photo below) into the Sacramento County Main Jail on the charge of murder. He is scheduled to be arraigned on September 16, 2008, at 1:30 p.m. in Department 62.
